Exciting Highlights: Zimbabwe’s Victory by 35 Runs against West Indies in ICC World Cup Qualifier
West Indies won the toss. Zimbabwe were forced to bat. Sinkad Raza top scored for Zimbabwe with 68 runs. Ryan Burl scored a half-century of 50 runs. Captain Craig Erwin contributed 47 runs. These three scored the most runs. With this momentum, Zimbabwe reached 268 all out in 49.5 overs. Zimbabwe challenged Windies to 269 runs for victory. But Zimbabwe bowled out Windies for 233 runs in 44.4 overs.
Kyle Meyers top scored for Windies with 56 runs. Roston Chase added 44 runs. Niklos Pooran was dismissed for 34 runs. Captain Shai Hope returned after scoring 30 runs. Opener Brandon King was dismissed for 20 runs. Anchapura’s Jason Holder added 19 runs. These 5 got off to a good and banging start. But he could not win the team. Akeel Hossain scored 3 runs not out. The remaining 4 people could not even reach double figures.
Tendai Chatara took the most wickets for Zimbabwe with 3 wickets. Blessing Muzarabani Sikandar Raza and Richard Ngarawa took 2 wickets each. Wellington Masakadza contributed well by taking 1 wicket.
