Romario Shepherd, who took four wickets for 31 runs in the fifth T20 match, was declared the man of the match. Meanwhile, Nicolas Poulin, who scored a total of 176 runs in the series, was adjudged Man of the Series for his superb performance.

West Indies cricket team has won the bilateral T20 series against India after a long gap of seven years. Earlier, in 2017, West Indies won the T20I series against India at home by a score of 1-0. Since then, India have won five consecutive T20 series against West Indies. What makes this win important is that India suffered a defeat against a team that did not even qualify for the Super 12 stage of the 2022 T20 World Cup. The 2024 T20 World Cup is jointly hosted by the West Indies and the United States. As a result, the series was seen as a preparation for that event, although Team India’s performance fell short of expectations.
